Stuck before I can begin...

Featured Replies

So I've been looking into UNRaid for a while and finally got the stuff I needed together to try it out. The issue is I get the machine to boot to the drive and it starts to initialize and I get greeted with "Booting the Kernal" and it sits there...

Any ideas? Anyone seen this?

what version of unraid are you using and what is your hardware setup? (motherboard make, hard drives,...)

Are you using the free 3 drive version of unraid?

Need a bit more information from you to give some assistance.

unraid 4.5.6

From what I can tell on the board it's an old Intel 810?

Using the free system and just trying this thing out to see how easy it is to configure before dropping money on a custom build.

Any help or info will be appreciated.

Hmmm not sure but that may not work as it is not on the supported motherboard list (or I couldn't see it...)

it could be that it is too old and not supported. Check this link:

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along and correct me if I am talking rubbish or confirm my suspicions.

Does your mb have any sata ports ?

How much memory do you have installed?  I doubt it will be able to run in less than 512 Meg.

Other than that, have you run the memory test?  could easily be an issue if you did not set the memory timing, clock speed, and voltage according to the needs of your specific memory strips.
