Drive unmountable

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

So i rebooted my server and upon restart had 2 disks with issues.

One disk did not mount at all and the second has an unmountable; no file system error.

I checked all cables and still problem exists

The only other step i have taken is to run xfs_repair from the webui

I have not tried adding the un-mounted disk and running parity check, as i was unsure what would happen since its 2 disk with issues

Unfortunately i have only just got the logs after i rebooted a few times.

Just wanting to check whats the next best step

Cheers

In this situation, with 1 disk not in the array and 1 with a file system error, which one is being emulated?

Bad situation since disk2 is failing, what happened to disk1? Is it still detected? Was it the unassigned 2TB WD disk?

@johnnie.black Have sorted out disk2 issues with at xfs_repair - its online for now and emptied ready for disposal

As for disk 1, Yes, its the unassigned 2tb WD. It now does not show up at all, not even in UD. I started a new thread on the disk 1 issue -

Have yet to check to see if it shows in bios!
