FS: ASRock Xeon MiniITX motherboard and Intel Xeon CPU (supports 12 drives without extra cards!) - $150

Featured Replies

I’ve got a great deal on a solid combo that has powered my unraid server for over 2 years flawlessly. Only reason I upgraded was to get a larger motherboard because I wanted to addon a GPU.

The motherboard is an ASRock E3C224D4I-14S. It’s MiniITX so will fix basically any case. What’s great about it is that it supports 12 drives without extra addon cards! 4 via SATA connectors and 8 more via onboard SAS controller. Also supports usual suspects like gigabit Ethernet and since it’s a server board it has iPMI support too!

CPU is an Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 3.4ghz. It worked great for transcoding several 1080p streams with plex so not under powered.

Also includes the Intel OEM heatsink and fan. Not the most amazing cooling as compared to aftermarket coolers but it did the job great for me for several years.

$150 total shipped. Great deal!
