tjbrendel
Hello everyone! I'm looking for a little help for the HDD folks out there. I have two drives that have intermittently thrown errors and I'm looking to replace both with NAS grade drives, will be going with Seagates Iron Wolf drives. The question I have is which of the two drives should I replace first? I'll paste in their SMART status results here: Drive 1 (imgur link) Drive 2 (imgur link) I understand that I need to replace both, and that is the plan, but I just wanted others opinions on which to replace first. My first reaction is to go with Drive 1 as that's throwing Reallocated Sector Count errors. Any help is greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Looking at those reports disk2 looks fine. CRC errors are connection errors and are almost always due to factors external to the drive such as the SATA or power cabling. Quote Link to comment
