Remote Connection

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I have a Dell R710, I successfully launched Unraid with GUI, installed my key and got things working.  I then wanted to go to my PC and remote over.  Instead of reaching the Unraid web interface, I get the IDRAC for the server.  No matter how I try to not go to IDRAC, it does.

I've attempted to disable IDRAC, but now the server is refusing all connections to it.  Is there a way to leave the IDRAC on and reach the webgui?

Thanks

First item needed to provide any assistance would be the Diagnostics file from Unraid.  You can get this from the GUI by going to    Tools   >>>   Diagnostics  Look where they are being stored so you can upload them in a new post.

If you have access to the Command Line, you can also get the Diagnostics file by entering the following command:

diagnostics

In this case, the file will be stored in the logs directory/folder of the flash drive.

EDIT: please provide the IP address of the IDRAC server in your next post as well as the address that you assigned to your Unraid server.

Make sure you have your network cable plugged in to the correct port. Sounds like you may have it plugged in to the IDRAC dedicated one instead of the regular gigabit connections.

It is possibly related to this.  Out of the 4 ports, I am only using 1 port.  I think I set the IDRAC to use 192.168.1.4 and the NIC is set to .2.  Now, when I use chrome to go to .4, I get IDRAC.  But when I try .2, I get refused connection.   I decided to try IE, .2 I get the Unraid WebGui.  But IE is buggy with the GUI, so I downloaded Firefox.  Firefox gets the webgui at .2 as well.

For some reason Chrome cannot get to the Webgui, but at this point its not a big deal.  Once I get the server mounted in its final spot, I'll plug in all 4 ports and try again with chrome.

Thanks for the feedback!
