From the command line type the following: ping 8.8.8.8 If that works, try this command ping google.com (You can use 'Ctrl-C' to exit either of these.) Report back your results. Quote Link to comment

tucansam Posted August 25, 2019 Author Share Posted August 25, 2019 Network connectivity is up. I mean I see the orange animation bar graph bridge thing whenever I go to the plug-ins page. I let it sit for a while and came back and it had loaded, no idea how much time it actually took. Used to be it was loaded within about 10 seconds, now its a matter of minutes. Quote Link to comment

John_M Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 I seem to remember that the default configuration checks for plugin updates the first time you open the Plugins tab each day. If there's an Internet connectivity issue it can take a long time to open. I prefer to check for updates manually so I no longer use the automatic feature. Quote Link to comment
tucansam Posted August 25, 2019 Author Share Posted August 25, 2019 Only change I made was moving a physical pihole to a docker, and all hosts on the network, unraid included, are resolving dns queries just fine. No idea what's causing it, but when I click "plugins" on the top menu, it takes 3-4 minutes to come up. Quote Link to comment
bonienl Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 It is recommended to NOT use Pihole for Unraid itself, but set a 'regular' DNS entry instead. Pihole does interfere with the operation of the server, and may lead to catch22 situations. Quote Link to comment

Are there domains that need to be whitelisted to ensure proper operation of Unraid? I currently have only one entry in my whitelist (distributed.net, because I contribute to that project).
