localhost
I've been running pi hole on my pi for a while now and its great. I decided as I have an unraid server I really should just be running it in a docker. However I can't start it, it looks to have a conflict on port 53 but looking at netstat I don't see any open connections using the port. Does unraid run dnsmasq or something on that port, I can't seem to find any options for a dns server. Thanks Edited August 30, 2019 by localhost Quote Link to comment
SpyKiIIer
From my understanding, if you have KVM (VMs) enabled on UnRAID, it starts the DNSMASQ service on port 53. Quote Link to comment
mfwade
Set it up to use the custom br0 and set a static IP. Quote Link to comment

The problem is pi-hole tries to allocate port 53 for each available interface on the server, and consequently fails because libvirt (VM) is already using port 53 for its own virtual interface. The solution is to limit pi-hole in its interface assignment and use only the management interface br0. See this and in particular steps 4 and 5 2 Quote Link to comment
