Multiple errors including fork unavailable.

My server seems to be failing in multiple places.  I'm also getting emails with  the following:

bin/sh: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable

I just rebooted yesterday, the server had become quite unresponsive, the parity check had zero errors.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

When was the last time your server passed without errors at least 12 continuous hours of the memtest utility from the unraid boot menu?

When I first made the server, a couple years ago.

That would be the first place I would start.

I don't have physical access to the server for a couple weeks, but that will be the first thing I try.  Thank you.  I'll report back.

This error is typically due to running out of resources, so I'd also try to check the logs first for Out Of Memory issues before rebooting.
