Just wanted to ask does any one know why it take so long to do parity check on Unraid.

No changes but it take between 4  hours to 6 hours.

Ido not understand the context here!    What size is your parity drive?   What sort of time are you expecting?    A parity check has to read every sector on the parity drive so the time is directly dependent on the size of the drive.    It tends to take something like 2-3 hours per TB.

There is no reason to run parity checks at anything like that frequency.   Most people run parity checks once a month, with some only bothering every 3 months or so.   There are even those who do not bother with parity at all if they have a good backup strategy.   Parity checks are not aware of changes - they are just checking that every sector on the data drives agrees with the calculated parity values on the parity drive.
