soultaco83
Hello, My flash drive corrupted today. I was not able to backup the flash drive as it is no longer usable. I reinstalled unraid onto a new flash drive. Attempted to use the install key. I got a message that The registered GUID does not match the USB Flash boot device GUID. So I click on replace key. Now I am getting a message: Sorry, an error (403) occurred registering USB Flash GUID 13FE-6300-070A-972452DFC870 The error is: GUID '0781-5575-0001-060913101323' is blacklisted I am using the same email I originally bought the key with. Any assistance would be great. Edited September 5, 2019 by soultaco83 Quote Link to comment
HNGamingUK
Hello, The full guide can be found here: https://wiki.unraid.net/UnRAID_6/Changing_The_Flash_Device Could you describe at what step you get issue? Edited September 5, 2019 by Conmyster Quote Link to comment
soultaco83
Step by step. I created the new flash drive using the Flash creator for the new flash drive. I started the server up. top right clicked on Registration Unraid OS I then entered my key install url and that processed just fine. From there a message appears that: The registered GUID does not match the USB Flash boot device GUID With that message on the screen I pressed replace key: once I press replace key i get the Sorry, an error (403) occurred registering USB Flash GUID 13FE-6300-070A-972452DFC870 The error is: GUID '0781-5575-0001-060913101323' is blacklisted Quote Link to comment

It is a requirement that the USB stick has a unique GUID. Some manufacturers (particularly the cheaper ones) re-use the same GUID on multiple drives and if you have one like that it cannot be used to run UNRAID. Quote Link to comment
soultaco83
The old one was a sandisk. I was trying to use a flash drive from MicroCenter as it is all I have at the moment. A friend uses the exact same drive and it works fine. What is weird is that it is giving me an error message for the old drive GUID. I verified the new drive has a different ID Quote Link to comment
