Sync Errors on Parity Check? (Lots)

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Suddenly starting to get a lot of Sync Errors after running a parity check... around 8000 I believe... which seems really bad??? previous check didn't show anything how do I figure out what it is...

I have my logs attached below if someone wouldn't mind helping me diagnose the problem?

Many Thanks

-Jonathan

Sep 5 19:04:29 FILESERVER emhttpd: unclean shutdown detected

A few sync errors are normal, even expected after that.

Thanks for the response... I can understand that but I am getting around 6000 currently.... but my server automatically runs a parity check w/ Write corrections on... so after that I ran another and I am still getting the Sync errors? is this normal?

Parity check after an unclean shutdown is non correct:

Sep 5 19:04:53 FILESERVER kernel: mdcmd (43): check nocorrect
Sep 5 19:04:53 FILESERVER kernel: md: recovery thread: check P ...

Run a correcting check, then run a non correcting one, if still errors on the last one post new diags

Sorry for the late reply... You are correct... I wasn't aware that was the case, any how... my Parity check finished this morning, no Sync Errors this time around :)
