Now some user shares are showing free space that is very low. I have 24TB free for some shares and only 978GB free for "appdata", "domains", and "system". Please advise. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

With those shares the default settings will mean that they are located on the cache drive, so that probably explains what you are seeing. Quote Link to comment

Typically you want them left on the cache for performance reasons. You can use the CA Backup plugin to make backups to the array at intervals defined by you. Quote Link to comment
