Majawat
Got two notifications today. Quote Unraid array errors: 2019-09-20 04:32 PM Warning [HATHOR] - array has errors Array has 1 disk with read errors Quote Unraid Disk 5 error: 2019-09-20 04:33 PM Alert [HATHOR] - Disk 5 in error state (disk dsbl) WDC_WD80EFAX-68LHPNO_7SG6RTHC (sdm) Attached are my diagnostics. I haven't done anything to it yet, don't want to potentially do anything bad. I don't have an extra drive laying around so if this one is toast, I'm out buying a new one today. hathor-diagnostics-20190920-2200.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
SMART for Disk5 looks OK. Is the emulated drive mounted? Some other things we need to look at after you get the array rebuilt, such as: Why is your system share on the array? And what is logging in over and over again on various ports? Majawat
Ok, forgive me, I'm not sure of any of that information. Still new to something like this. 9 minutes ago, trurl said: SMART for Disk5 looks OK. Is the emulated drive mounted? How do I tell if it is or not? Right next to that disk in the Main tab it just has a red X. Quote Why is your system share on the array? And what is logging in over and over again on various ports? Not sure the answer to that. Nor how I find out or how to resolve. Quote Link to comment

At the very far right of that line, is there a yellow file folder that shows you the shares on that disk when you click on it? Do you have any ports forwarded to your unraid box, or worse yet, do you have unraid in your router's DMZ? Quote Link to comment

Yep! Quote Do you have any ports forwarded to your unraid box, or worse yet, do you have unraid in your router's DMZ? I have several docker containers sitting on the box, like an nginx reverse proxy directing to other containers and server in the network But I have no ports forwarded to the ports of the unRaid OS itself. Nor do I have it in the router's DMZ. Quote Link to comment
trurl
Your syslog is full of these. That is a local IP (or should be). Do you know what corresponds to that IP address? Why would it be logging in twice a minute? trurl
Could that be your UPS? I see you are using the NUT plugin. I am not really familiar with that, but I have looked at a lot of syslogs from a lot of users and I have never seen any with those logs. Quote Link to comment
trurl
Your system share is set to cache-yes, which means move it from cache to the array. The usual way is to have it cache-prefer or cache-only. You want your docker image on cache for better performance and so docker won't keep array disks spinning. Quote Link to comment
trurl
You can rebuild disk5 to itself if you don't have a spare. Quote Link to comment
Majawat
Ah! Gotcha Quote Do you know what corresponds to that IP address? Ah, had to look, it's my PRTG server. I can turn off the ssh check, it wasn't super helpful. I can never find the cache settings. Where is that setting to fix the cache-yes? Which should it be? What are all the steps rebuild the disk5 to itself? Thanks for your help! Quote Link to comment
