September 23, 20196 yr So first of all, I´m giving a try to unRAID because I have a decent desktop PC and my objective is to be able to have 2 or more VMs running (Windows for personal ussage and because .NET and probably some Linux and Docker) for development purposes (and personal as well) and since I hate dealing with bridged networks and the lag that normal VMs have, I decided to try both ESXi and unRAID, and so far I prefer unRAID. My problem is the following: I installed and booted unRAID. I created an array of a single 240GB SSD that I just bought. In there I loaded my Windows image (put it in the ISOs folder as I´ve seen in tutorials), downloaded the virtio drivers and created a 30GB virtual disk form my VM. The first problem was when trying to pass my graphics card (1050ti) I got the error "127 invalid header" (that is vague, sorry, I can´t reproduce this right now but I will be able tomorrow, so I´ll post more details tomorrow). I just ignored this since it wasn´t critical, and removed the graphics card from the VM. The problem came when I tried to install Windows, I got the typical error of not recognized any drives, and asking to install drivers to see if that works. As stated in the wiki, I installed the virtio drivers in that precise order (Ballon, KVM, serial and stor), but it still did not recognize any drives. I tried changing the drive pass through method to SATA, SCSi and USB to see if that helped, but no. Sorry for the lack of information but I am not able to access that computer today, tomorrow will post more details about the errors and the config that I am using, but so far, has anyone got a problem like this?
