How to backup with Duplicati over WAN

Hi Guys-

 

I'm currently using Duplicati to backup to BackBlaze via B2.

 

Is there a guide anywhere that I could follow to allow me to backup using Duplicati from my Home unraid server to a unraid server at a friend's house? (both owned by me).

 

 

The friend's house server would use duckDNS and a vpn i guess? I'm not sure now to achieve a secure connection etc to do a remote backup. 

What protocol would it use that is fault-tollerent, SFTP?

 

I was hoping Spaceinvaderone had a video, but i could only find instructions to backup to backblaze, amazon and FTP via local network, not WAN to own server.

    I run a Minio Docker container on my unRAID machine as a backup target for duplicati. Minio provides an S3 storage API. I also use a traefik docker to reverse proxy / SSL wrap minio.
