Is it necessary to restore it to a 3rd directory? Is there a way to just restore the missing files/older file versions to the source directory... As that's how I'm used to versioning working. I'd really hate to have to restore 20tb of data to a 3rd new directory to get just a few missing files or an older version of an existing file or is there a way to select specific files to restore?

Also is the calculate difference function not something to really on? Everything is the magenta color, source data does not exist at the snapshot. Which as I'm understanding means the snapshot isn't aware of the source data?

I appreciate your help in me understanding this software, I like to have a firm grasp on my backup solutions and make sure I'm doing my part correct as well! :)

Sooooo I accidentally answered my own question. Looks like under the luckybackup.sourceforge.net/todo.html it's listed under high priority to only restore part of a snapshot and considering the date listed on the website stops at 2019.... That isn't very hopeful... I think this is a GREAT sync utility but that places a lot of limitations on backup solution, at least in my use case.

I've always done it this way because otherwise you would overwrite the snapshots.

You can always go into the .luckybackup directory to recover files in the according folder since there should be your snapshots.

I would recommend that you create an issue on Sourceforge itself since the developer is a really helpful and smart guy, maybe he can help out and can fix this issue for you.

I hit "minimize to tray" in noVNC... and now I can't get it back XD what do I do?

Restart the container, the main issue is that I usually don't enable the taskbar in the container because it's simply not needed anyways but if you've minimized it a restart should help. :)

Edit: sry I dont know where the message went. I think I was saying that this would stop the current running job, but then again it had already stopped when I (or the other site) had the 24hr reconnect.

Is there any tweaking that could be added to the command that would make it retry and continue after a few minutes?

Anything on the docker end that we need to change? Or is this just google blocking linux browsers again?

Investigated further and I really can't do much about it, maybe enabling less secure apps in your Google account settings can/will help.

This is actually because I run the container with the test-type flag so that the message that the sandbox is disabled is hidden (Docker in this case is the sandbox).

Hi guys,

I've just installed magicmirror2 with default settings, copied the default config over but am not getting the display up in a web browser. The only thing I've changed is the port it bridges to as I already have something set to 8080. Is there something else that needs to be done to make it work?

Cheers

You don't have to change the settings file in order to do that, simply change the port in the Docker template and leave as it is in the config.

I kind of hate that I can't search through this thread, someone probably asked this already.

I just wanted to help you out with this in case you didn't see it already.  At the top of any page there's a search function with a list of options.  Hope this helps.

@ich777 I did a fresh install of Thunderbird and I'm connecting via POP3.  I connected my gmail accounts and when it downloads my previous emails its only doing so in batches.  Every time it connects to download new emails it only does about 20 for my first email and 250 for my second.

I don't remember having this problem when I was trying Thunderbird locally on my desktop.  Any idea why this might be happening?

Never had that issue before.

The container runs the default Thunderbird app that you also would download to your Linux desktop.

It is downloading other emails but only in batches.  It seems to only affect Google as my non-Google accounts fetched all emails just fine.

EDIT: Looked in to it more and it looks like its a Gmail issue.  First report I've seen going back to 2009.  I guess I'll just have to wait a few days and let everything download.

From what I see in your log it should work just fine.

I've also tried it now on my own (also with port 8089) but I cant reproduce your issue: magicmirror.txt

grafik.thumb.png.08ca595748493fc2e445687ed337a30d.png

When I connect to: MYunRAIDIP:8089 I get the usual start page:

Please double check that you are connecting to: yourunRAIDIP:8089

Thank you for the information.

IIRC on my first sync it pulled down everything in one batch.

Maybe it is related to where you are located in the world, how much mails that it has to pull down from Gmail and the load on their servers, only just a few guesses...

Thanks for taking a look. Everything looked correct to me as well, having run MagicMirror2 on Ubuntu before this all looked the same. I'll do some testing. I'm definitely navigating to myunRAIDIP:8089

I would recommend to maybe start over, delete the container, delte the 'magicmirror2' folder in your appdata directory and pull a fresh copy from the CA App.

Could be only a small issue since it starts on my server just fine. :)

Yeah I'll have a go at that - I've been deleting the docker container without removing the folder so maybe it's that. Will see what happens 🙂

I searched the docs and found no option/variable for that.

Since you are a sponsor and this is the official image you can try to ask the support directly at: [email protected]

Yeah, I know. They are only letting the actual sponsor know how via an email. Suffice to say you have to pass a switch at startup, but when supplying this switch it fails to start on unraid.
