Maybe it didn't properly post.

Oh I can't open the link... Eventually my PiHole is blocking it.

i've also tried swapping UID & GID for PUID & PGID to both = 1000, because I've found my other containers work better with that in the past

Oh, from what I've see you don't run this on Unraid? But this is a x86_64 platfoem? Also PUID & PGID work with my container, you have to use UID=1000 and GID=1000 if you want to apply this properly.

Snap. That may be the problem. it's aarch64. Sorry to waste your time.

Not a waste in any way... :)

I now depricated the ARM versions from my containers because they are not much downloaded and not worth my time to maintain them... :/

Just leaving a comment here, in hopes of getting notified once this gets fixed! :)

Any updates on this? (The Cron issue with LuckyBackup)

Remembering to backup the server daily (and showing the last person leaving how it's done) is getting a bit tiring :D

Oh also, swapping from Unassigned Devices to direct SSH connection made the backup go a _lot_ faster! (With UD, incremental backup was around 40-50 minutes, up to 10 hours. Now, 10 - 20 minutes! So thanks on that!)

Having an issue getting the Zabbix server running. It seems to populate data into the server but it complains about user table being empty and shuts down. Any ideas?

What have you done exactly, seems like there is some problem with creating the database, have you created the database Zabbix?

Is the Zabbix database and Zabbix Server in the same subnet and also in the same network mode?

Yes I created the database and db user through myphpadmin. I just kept it all "zabbix" for now. My mariadb is in bridge and running well. The Zabbix server and webfront is using the br0 static ip option. (is this required?) I had issues at first with the server not even seeding maria DB but after searching through this thread I did the host option I had to enable in docker settings and now does see it.

Edit: Okay so I think I figured it out. The database character set was set to  some latin one so I changed it to utf8 collate utf8_bin after recreating it. Got the login page now. Well see how this goes.

Hi, I've just started using DirSyncPro and it's working but every file shows Warning: I/O error: could not copy. The files are actually copied but the file stamp isn't the same as the original file, so every time it syncs the files get copied again.

Any Ideas?

On what type of media do you copy the files on?

NTFS?

Uggg. I was hoping to be able to use NTFS just for the peace of mind knowing that I can pull it out and access it with my main window machine if UnRaid takes a dump.

The problem is that the Windows NTFS filesystem handles the timestamps completely different...

There are also tools out there that can read Linux filesystems from Windows.

Probably the better way is to use a Linux formatted disk since if you eject the NTFS disk from within Windows the wrong way Linux can have some problems mounting it (at least from my experience) and also NTFS can cause much overhead and is usually slower than a native Linux filesystem when you copy something over from Unraid.

What i try to do is, install new Software, for example "Handbrake". But i cant find a way to install new software.

Please keep in mind I would strongly recommend doing this by adding a user.sh script to the container that you mount from Unraid to the container since if a update is released or you change something the container will be reset and the application is uninstalled (your settings will persist but the software will be removed).

If you want to install something manually open up a terminal and enter:

  1. su (to become root)
  2. YOUR_ROOT_PW and press ENTER (please note that no keyboard output will be displayed while entering the password)
  3. apt update (to update the repositories)
  4. apt install -y handbrake (to install Handbrake)

Here is a example to do it with user.sh (so that the container actually checks if handbrake is installed on every start):

I tesing currently the chromium docker, is it possible to install RealVNC Connect in the container instead of noVNC?

What is the advantage of RealVNC connect over TigerVNC?

You can directly connect to the containers VNC server when you create another port in the the template with the container port 5900 and host port whatever do you want like so:

grafik.thumb.png.c2b747e96dfad1ecab299c1a4859c6d3.png

Then you can connect to the container with YOURUNRAIDIP:5900

Hi ich777,  the main reason is that Real VNC supports audio. Unfortunately, I don't know how to install another VNC server in your Docker container. Could you help me a bit or give me a tip?

This would require a complete rewrite of the container.

You can look at the source code of the Chromium container and also how to install RealVNC Server on Linux.

The container simply wasn't designed to have sound and also would need other dependencies that are simply not installed.

Eventually look out on Dockerhub if someone created a container with RealVNC and Chromium.

Has anyone seen issues with PhotoPrism (running MariaDB) processing pictures (especially RAW ones), adding them to the library, but then showing a broken image icon instead? If I download either the .jpeg or the original RAW the image looks fine, it just seems like PhotoPrism isn't displaying them correctly. I've reached out to the dev team and they seem to think it's a permissions issue. I'm running UID/GID of 99:100...

Can you give me the link to the Github issue or did you contact them on Discord?

Reached out via chat and they pointed me here: https://github.com/photoprism/photoprism/issues/411

It *was* working, at least in large part, but seems to have taken a turn for the worse. At startup it often took ages (10+ minutes) to load, and the team said that was because it was running usermod, at which point they recommended I set PHOTOPRISM_DISABLE_CHOWN = true, which did speed up the start of the program but may have started some of my issues, though I'm not sure. I've completely removed PP, dropped the table in MariaDB, and deleted the storage path and reinstalled it, but had the same issue, primarily with .jpeg files working fine but some (though not all) RAW files not displaying. They're quite convinced it's a permissions issue and suggested I try changing the user it runs as, but given it *was* working on your defaults (plus a manual MariaDB config) I'm inclined to believe it's not the user itself...

To be specific (and I’m also chatting with the devs) I’ve done the following: started from scratch, ran the purge script, deleted the docker, dropped the database, and re-installed from the start (in Unraid) and it looks like the final verdict is: all RAW files of mine (from two separate cameras) appear to be broken. PP appears to process it, save it as a .jpeg, and stack it with the original, but then doesn’t display it. I see nothing obvious that should be blocking my permissions and the files themselves, if I ‘Download’ them from PP, look fine, so I’m guessing it’s a thumbnail issue? Errors in the logs when indexing completes but before I view anything are mostly:
time="2021-06-07T00:34:44+02:00" level=error msg="location: record not found (find cell s2:14cab798d68c)"
time="2021-06-07T00:34:45+02:00" level=error msg="location: Error 1366: Incorrect string value: '\xC5\x9Fikta...' for column photoprism.places.place_city at row 1 (create place s2:14cab7b3667c)"

But once I pull up PP and try to browse any RAW files I see the following errors in the logs:
time="2021-06-07T01:54:24+02:00" level=error msg="thumbs: thumbnail not cached"
time="2021-06-07T01:54:24+02:00" level=error msg="thumbs: thumbnail not cached"

all my permissions in the container are for photoprism:users except /photoprism/storage/config, which is photoprism:root
