Freenas to Unraid transfer

Featured Replies

Hi all,

im fairly new to unraid. I currently have a freenas server with Raidz-1 setup. 3x 6TB drives. 12TB of usuable space.

With about 10TB of data im trying to transfer over to my unraid setup.

Ive been trying to transfer over from my freenas server to new unraid server through my network(1GPS).

Few things ive tried.

1)Windows share from Freenas to Unraid

2)FTP transfer freenas to unraid

Its painfully slow. 30-50mbs transfer speed. Ive tried turning on Reconstruct Write but it has the same speeds.

Is there anyway i can put in the freenas HDDs into unraid and internally transfer?

Thanks for any help. I appreciate it

See the linked thread.  Sounds just like the issue mentioned.  If you are transferring through another device on the network, that's your problem.  If you can mount the FreeNAS volume directly through Unassigned Devices plugin you should see faster speeds.  See the last post in the thread.
