October 3, 20196 yr Hi all, I've just been trying to copy a set of files (circa 14GB over 11 files) from one location to another using Krusader within unRAID and the copy speed is all over the place!?!? Essentially I need to leave the original files in the original folder but then also have a copy in the 2nd folder for my day to day use - the trouble is, whenever I set the copying going it starts off at a reasonable 50 MiB/s, after 50-60% it drops down to the low hundreds in KiB/s and then after a 5-10 second pause, goes back up again (although not as high as 50!) On a couple of occasions it has stopped altogether and I get the message "Stalled" in the transfer speed box! To be clear this is within the unRAID system itself rather than being across a network! I have a SSD cache drive but am not using it - although I know I probably should but isn't that just adding an extra location to the journey?? (ie. to the SSD would surely be quicker but even then it's still got to write to the HDD doesn't it!) Do these speeds sound right?? Thanks....
