October 4, 20196 yr Or should i just monitor it for further errors? unraid-server-smart-20191004-1432.zip
October 4, 20196 yr Community Expert I, personally, would replace it. While it will probably work and deliver up data, I would be worried about possible read-error issues on this disk if I have to rebuild another disk. After you get it out, you could run several preclear cycles on it and see if this was a fluke or a trend. It could also be that this disk is still in warranty... See next post.... October 4, 20196 yr Community Expert So Sorry. Many drives do not report attribute 196-Reallocated_Event_Count and when I looked I was thinking it was attribute 197-Current_Pending_Sector. Attribute 196 reports an issue which has been fixed and Attribute 197 reports an issue which is going to be fixed in the future. At this point, I would continue to monitor this disk and to make sure that you don't get any changes in the future. (Btw, this disk has reached a temperature of 60C. This is a bit warm as most folks like to see the temperatures under 40C.)
October 6, 20196 yr Author Thanks, i thought the same. Temperature was higher at some point (but 60c is ok after datasheet) but wont reach that temperature anymore...
