Hello, I am planning on building an unraid server very soon. I accidentally bought a few SAS drives instead of Sata drives. I was wondering, if I get a SAS controller, could I use all my drives if some of the SATA drives are plugged directly into the mobo and the SAS drives are plugged into a PCIe SAS controller card? Or if anyone else has a suggestion on how to get my SAS drive to work on my Sata mobo, that would be appreciated.

 

I also plan on using a Rosewill RSV-R4000 (https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Rackmount-Computer-Pre-Installed-RSV-R4000/dp/B0055EV30W/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=rosewill+4u+case&qid=1570214735&sr=8-1). Idk if this has a built in SAS controller.
