LSI MegaRAID cards not supported?

Featured Replies

I just tried to install 5.0 beta2 only to discover that unRAID can't see my MegaRAID SATA150-6 card.  Why is that?  Even FreeNAS worked with this card.

Drivers, specifically which ones are opted to be part of the unRAID distro. It's a mini-distro that would fit on a 56 Meg USB Flash drive. FreeNAS requires significantly more space, nearly two and a half times the space.

If the philosophy changes in the future to require a larger flash drive, then more can be included as Linux Kernel modules. Also, that card is old with a release date sometime in 2003. If unRAID does expand to support more hardware, I would like for the additional space to be spent on recent hardware and not antiques.
