Monthly parity check - correcting or non-correcting

Featured Replies

Hi,

since I had a disk fail during my monthly parity check last month which most likely resulted in wrong parity information being written to the parity drive I was wondering what best practice was in this case.

Should a periodically scheduled parity check be correcting or non-correcting? Mine was set to correcting and has been for ages, not completely sure why it was set that way though...
