Graph
So far I've just had a bunch of random disks in my desktop pc and migrated them/the data around with me. No raid, no redundancy/backups except for important projects. That had to change. When a PC at work died it was the perfect host for my new project: Oscar. Oscar is going to be comprised of Motherboard: MSI Z77A GD65 CPU: 3570k (4 x 3.4GHZ) RAM: 16GB DDR3 Case: And old one from work Drive Cage(s): Icy Dock ExpressCage 6 x 2.5" & Icy Dock ExpressCage 5 x 3.5" Power Supply: Enermax Platimax 600w SATA Expansion Card(s): No Cables: Yes Fans: 1 x 120mm Case fan Front 1 x 120mm CPU fan 2 x 40mm Small drive cage 1 x 80 mm large drive cage 1 x 120mm PSU Parity Drives: WD Blue 4TB Seagate IronWolf 4TB Data Drives: WD Blue 4TB Seagate IronWolf 4TB Cache Drives: Kingston A400 250GB Crucial BX500 240GB Total Drive Capacity: RAW: 16.5TB Usable: 8.25TB Primary Use: NAS Likes: The 6x2.5" drive cage is absolutely adorable Dislikes: The fan on the 5x3 is amazingly noisy.. but it cools well sooo.. Add Ons Used: Community Applications Future Plans: Some Boot (peak): Idle (avg): Active (avg): Light use (avg): [img=https://imgur.com/Y67XWqT] [img=https://imgur.com/GHGEMF0] [img=https://imgur.com/Lw1sUo0] I'm quite happy with everything except for the Cruical SSD (runs quite hot) and the noisy 80mm fan on the 5x3 drive cage.
