plasmaball
Hello, I'm pretty new to Unraid. I've been using it for 4 days and just purchased it. I am noticing a problem with SMB and wonder if others are encountering it. Specifically, if I do anything with users or shares it seems like the SMB service is fully restarted. This is causing my SMB clients to disconnect and get interrupted (e.g. I'm copying files to a SMB share). Most recently, I was just updating the photo on a user, and when I hit save my SMB transfers were interrupted and I had to restart them. Is it possible to change that behaviour, so that changes to users and shares trigger a "smbcontrol all reload-config" instead of a full restart? Thanks! Other than that, I'm really enjoying Unraid. Frank1940
A quick Google search indicates that it might be possible. (I will point out that you will soon find that you won't be making as many changes once you get things setup as you want them.) There is a sub-forum for making feature requests. You can find it here: https://forums.unraid.net/forum/53-feature-requests/ Quote Link to comment
