Building a new server specifically for Unraid, recommendations?

Featured Replies

Here's what i got so far:

Chassi: Deep Silence 6 Rev. B (Modified to fit 25 3.5mm HDD)

PSU: 1000w SeaSonic SSR-1000PD

SAS Controller x2: LSI SAS9340-8i ServeRAID M1215 (Flashed to IT mode HBA)

A lot of 3.5mm seagate ironwolf hdd's ranging from 12tb to 8tb.

What i need is a rock stable motherboard, cpu and memory recommendations for unraid storage solution. The server will only be used stricly for network storage with 2 parity drives for maximum safety net. I will build 2 of these if the solution is working great and have one as offshore backup.

I need the solution to be server grade, ECC memory is a must. What motherboard/cpu/memory recommendations do you have that is known to work proper with current unraid?

Thanks in advance!

After some research and help on reddit i bought these items:

2x Samsung DDR4 2033 ECC Memory (Tested with motherboard according to manual)
1x Supermicro X10SRL-F Motherboard
1x Xeon E5-2630L v3

Went with Low TDP old server components, will buy some spare items if it works well, wish me luck :P
