October 18, 20196 yr What happens if the cache pool is smaller then the data transferred to the unraid array per day is? Does it fill the cache then start filling the array directly or will something bad occur if you exceed the cache limit for the day?
October 18, 20196 yr If the share being transferred to is set to be cache-only, then you'll get a disk full error. If the share being transferred to is set to be cache-preferred, the transfer will go to the array, and then when space frees up mover will put it back on the cache drive If the share being transferred to is set to be cache:yes, then the transfer will go to the array All subject to the minimum cache floor settings
October 18, 20196 yr Author Follow up question: Lets say i have torrents running, all newly downloaded data is put on the cache because it's new, later at night the files are moved to the array, while the torrent files are being seeded (in use) what happens?
