Shares missing after reboot [Solved]

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Had a small series of unfortunate events, follows roughly this.

Decided to buy a new 4TB. just wanted some extra headroom for a project coming up.

Powered down, installed drive, powered up.

Kernel Panic!

After trying to work out what the issue was, pulled the USB, tested it and it failed on a read test.

Installed 6.8RC1 on a new thumb drive and copied config over.

Booted up, working.

Two days later, powered down due a storm causing unstable power.

Powered back up the following day and no shares.

Reboot, still no shares. Updated to RC3, no shares.

The files I'm pretty sure are still there. Drive still shows capacity used. Config files for the shares are still there.

I thought maybe permissions due to copying files from another linux user account but nope. config files are root:root. Scratching my head a bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit, turns out it was purely due to the incomplete formatting of the new drive. Bug but fixed
