Userpaul
I have 5 HDD's spinning up and running all the time when I'm only writing to one HDD Is this because they share one controller? ..AOC-SASLP-MV8 I have attached a couple of screen shots, the only disks that are being written to are the parity and disk 11. Each disk has been manually spun down but they just spin up straight away again. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p73/userpaul/Screenshot1.jpg http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p73/userpaul/Screenshot2.jpg Link to comment

If you do not wish that behavior, turn off the spinup group in your settings. Link to comment
