Turning on Use SSL/ TLS breaks Web Managment

Featured Replies

HI, I've been having this problem for months now and have had little feedback, so anything would be helpful at this point. Problem stated a while back after a random shut off, then I couldn't access the Web Management, regardless of if I was using the IP, the server's name, or if I went directly from the unraid URL (ie. https://xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.unraid.net/Main). After some trouble shooting I found that turning off Use SSL/TLS in the management settings fixed the issue. I had to be off, both auto and yes did not work. When turned on, I get redirected from the IP to the unraid url but I get a "

This site can’t be reached xxxxxxxxxxxxx.unraid.net’s server IP address could not be found." error. I have attached my diagnostics. Thanks in advanced!

I would suggest that you start by looking here:    Settings   >>>     Management Access     Then click on the 'Help' icon on the toolbar to turn on the Unraid help.  Scroll to the bottom of the screen and read about the 'Note:' about DNS rebinding protection.   It is quite an extensive section.   I also seem to vaguely recall that some IPS providers may also prevent rebinding.

Wow I have Google Wifi and just used the default which said it was Google's DNS, manually inputting Google's DNS fixed the issue. Thank you!
