GPU passthrough - access bios and clover

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm using a VM engine to boot an OS with GPU passthrough(no modified vbios). The passthrough is working fine after the OS boots up. I have video on login screen and afterwards, but I want to have access to bios and clover bootloader on system boot with my GPU card signal. Do I have to load custom vbios or there is just something I missing here? I'm using nvidia quadro 410.

What is this VM engine you speak of?

Are you not running Unraid?

By using VM engine I'm referring to the VM engine of Unraid.

Even though the passthrough is working on OS level? Thank you for your quick response.

If I remember well, without vbios I was not able to see on my primary display nothing till the login window.

By passing the gpu vbios I'm quite sure that I was able to see all (clover bootloader. apple logo with loading bar, login window, etc.).

PS: do not download the vbios somewhere, I recommend to dump your own, see SpaceInvaderOne tutorial.

Will go for vbios dump and passing it to the VM. Thank you very much.
