IPv6 Issue - IPv4 Only on and somehow its still got ipv6

Featured Replies

I have had an issue for a bit now,  honestly can't think how far back,  but it finally annoyed me enough to bring it here.

I have my network configuration to Disable IPv6 and only use IPv4.    However,  my unraid box is bound and determined to use IPv6 anyways.

Does anyone know how to actually disable IPv6? or is it just my box that has a bad config somewhere causing it?

The kernel has IPv6 enabled.

This will give each interface a link local IPv6 address, but doesn't mean IPv6 routing is in place, therefor you need to configure IPv6 in the network settings.

Compare LL addresses with MAC addresses, each interface has a MAC address, regardless the interface is used or not.
