Mount external USB AND(!) create a share - cannot do.

Hi,

I would like to mount a USB drive and use it only to back up my app data. However, when adding USB as array, I cannot create a share on that USB.

Steps:

• I plugged in my USB,
• stopped array,
• selected under Array Devices the new USB
• started array
• in MAIN -> Next to the USB device (in Array view) instead of GREEN circle I see BLUE square 
• I clicked on SHARES, then ADD SHARE,
• I named the new SHARE, the clicked ok
• The new SHARE does NOT appear in "SHARES" tab.

Why?
