I built a simple Unraid 6 server last spring. All I use it for is to store video files and stream to a TV.  I got a notice that a drive reported a parity error so I went to login to the web interface and realized I forgot my password.

What are my options to recover?

Can I do anything from the web GUI?  from the GUI on local box with keyboard/monitor?  Edit something on the USB flash boot drive?

You must delete all three.  This will clear all passwords, but will also clear all users.

These days you only have to delete

config/shadow

config/smbpasswd

 

You should leave config/passwd in place and preserve your users and importantly, user/UID mapping.
