Superdean56
Hello everyone, I am fairly new to unraid and I can’t find the answer to this question anywhere I am researching about passing through a GPU and setting up a gaming VM. My question is: what happens to the GPU when the VM is off? My primary use of unraid is a Plex media server. If the gaming VM is off, what happens to the GPU? Is it running? Does it suck a lot of electricity? Is it bad that it’s on 24/7? thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
jordanmw
If the machine is off- and the card not attached to unraid for video or encoding- it will not spin up or power up. Quote Link to comment
