Dear Experts,

 

i have caught by a virus called "coot". it has changed the files extension and type of all files. please let me know if there is any possibility to restore my data of yesterday date or previous date?

    It would be possible if you were using btrfs and taking regular snapshots, it won't be with other filesystems (or btrfs with no snapshots).

    Btrfs is the only filesystem that supports that, and you'd need to be taking manual or scripted snapshots, if you don't know what that is then you wouldn't be doing it, so no way to recover.
