November 16, 201015 yr Hi, I'm simply trying to remove a few shares. Since there's only an "Add Share" button, and not a "Remove Share" button, I'm a little lost, and my wiki and forum searches aren't coming up with anything (could just be me). Seems like something pretty straight-forward so not sure why I'm missing it. When I rebuilt a drive, a bunch of folders on my cache drive were added as shares on another drive and everything hopped over which wasn't desired. I don't the machine often (not since an extra one after installing 4.5.6) so it may just be another setting causing that behaviour however I would still like to remove the shares. Anyways, if I set the field values to the same as one after hitting add-share, it re-sets to what it was previously, rather than removing. Somehow I thought there was some little trick involved. I do have a bunch of .cfg files in \\tower\flash\config\shares whose names do not align with my current shares, they're from a year or two ago. Thanks in advance.
November 16, 201015 yr I think if you just navigate to the disk shares and remove the extraneous folders, the extraneous shares will disappear as well.
November 16, 201015 yr Ensure the Shares (/mnt/user/<sharename>) is empty Then go to the unRAID menu, Shares, then go to the Share you want to remove and delete/blank out the name then hit the Apply button. Not sure if you can do multiple ones for same apply (do not think so)
September 12, 201213 yr Ensure the Shares (/mnt/user/<sharename>) is empty Then go to the unRAID menu, Shares, then go to the Share you want to remove and delete/blank out the name then hit the Apply button. Not sure if you can do multiple ones for same apply (do not think so) I realize this is old but I just tried to follow these instructions under RC5 and it just put the name of the share back. Is there a new process to follow to delete a share until RC5? Thanks.
