Not sure if stuttering is the right word, so please see video. I've had a Manjaro (Arch) VM for a bit that worked without issue, and then it started doing this.  It did this when I installed as well, but reinstalling it a few times made it just work, I was never sure what fixed it.

 

I tried creating a new VM but still have the same problem. Even tried changing Linux distros, but I see the same thing in Ubuntu.

 

I'm passing through my graphics card (Nvidia GT710, and I've tried my GTX1050Tis but I still have the issue) and my USB controller. I provide my graphics card ROM, and it giving it more cores or RAM doesn't have an effect. With Manjaro I used the linux template, and the Ubuntu one for that VM.

 

Since this system was working previously (for over a year) I don't think this is a problem with the distros, but something in Unraid/KVM. What am I missing? I've attached my VM template and my diagnostics.

@bigwah I had a similar issue with a 1050ti passed through a Mint VM. By enabling MSI sound is working without stutter. I created the file "/etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel.conf" in the guest os with the following content:

options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

And restart the VM

Even though I'm passing a GT710 and not the 1050Ti (that was only to test), I tried that and it worked? Not sure whats going on, but I greatly appreciate your help @bastl.

@bigwah I had it once loosing this setting, I guess to an distro update it got somehow removed. Maybe same happened to you if it was set before.
