Erm.. should i have an Array before i start installing plugins?

Featured Replies

'Cause i kinda started installing plugins before i had an Array, or cache drives set up. 🤔

This is my first unRAID. I had the trial and liked it, so bought it, now trying to set it up properly.

I would think most plugins should install without an array defined, although not sure why you would want to install plugins without an array? Whether they then work as expected depends on whether they need access to the array.

I was just reading through some of the Blog entries for noobs and plugins were listed and some i thought would be useful so installed them. It didn't occur to me at the time that they might need the array in place before installing the plugins. I now have an array and cache pool.

Here's the ones i installed.

- Community Applications

- NUT Network UPS Tools

- Fix Common Problems

- CA Auto Update

- unBALANCE

- Appdata Cleanup

- Appdata Backup/Restore v2

- Unassigned Devices

Are there any people think i should probably remove and reinstall? I don't recall seeing any errors when i installed them.

No need to remove / reinstall. If you don't touch them, they do no harm.

Its your server do what you want. As long as they Plugins don't complain then nobody else will. 🤣

Ultimately at a reboot, all plugins install before the array is online, so it doesn't matter one way or another at all.

Sorry, it took me a couple of days to get some time. Thanks for your input all. I feel better now :)  Not smarter though :D
