Random Restart/Shutdowns unstable System

Featured Replies

**Apologize if this has been covered before but i was unable to find an issue like this ***

i need help, new unraid server is randomly rebooting/shutting down. i've tried the following and it still does it;

-set md_sync_thresh = 100
-reseated the memory
-ran memory test (it passed)
-unplugged 2 of 4 drives
-replaced usb drive

the only thing i think could be an issue is right now i have a usb 3.0 header to usb 2.0 header to a usb port cable to connect the thumb drive too could that be an issue?

also it is always doing parity checks...

Specs are;

Ryzen 3 1200

16gb DDR

ab350 itx board

Ryzen needs workarounds, like disabling C-states or changing power supply control on the bios, more info here.

is that due to it being a ryzen 1200, as i have a ryzen 2700 box with no issues.

@gambit820 Only first gen Ryzens and older BIOS versions are affected by this.

All 1st gen are affected, situation is not that clear with 2nd gen and newer, but I remember seeing issues with various 2nd gen, possibly board/PS used dependent, and at least one 3rd gen.

You don't need to do "various workarounds". The Power Supply Idle Control one is the most effective.
