I am using sagetv with unraid and I noticed when I am browsing my videos the listing is very slow and once it finally starts working all my disks are spinning! 

 

Someone suggested directory caching but I can't find a thread about it.  I am curious how this works and how the cache is updated as I add new movies which I am constantly doing.
