This is on an Intel D975XBX2KR motherboard. Can this at least get fixed in 5.0 please? Thanks, Todd
November 18, 201015 yr The driver for that chip is there, never removed. Are you trying to use the Parallel-ATA ports?
November 18, 201015 yr Author No, not using the P-ATA ports, just trying to use the 4 onboard SATA ports.
November 20, 201015 yr Author I have tried setting the bios to native AHCI, native IDE, navite RAID and legacy for the on board sata controller. None of the settings have worked. I also tried replacing: append initrd=bzroot with append initrd=bzroot ahci.marvell_enable=1 with the bios set to AHCI. That didn't help either. How can I figure out what driver is required for the onboard marvell sata controller and get the driver to load on startup? Thank you, Todd
July 28, 201114 yr same problem here (D975XBX2), updated from 4.4.2 to 4.7 tried everything, even replacing the append initrd=bzroot with append initrd=bzroot ahci.marvell_enable=1 didnt work either. Now Im running 4.5 @Todd did you find a solution yet?
