Grouped network cards

Featured Replies

I have 4 gig network cards in my server that are grouped into one network.  I have the switch configured as a port group but seems every time I reboot the network may or may not always come back up.  So i have to reboot again and hope it comes up after a second reboot which most of the time it usually does.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Am I doing something wrong?

Which bonding mode are you using? Diagnostics grabbed when it's in the faulty network condition should provide some clues.

Ok finally got someone to help get me in.  I had to unplug all but one of the cards and move it from the port group on the switch to get in.  Below are my settings.

Your network settings show a bonded interface with 4 members and using LACP. This mode requires a switch which supports LACP too. Did you configure your switch properly (assuming it supports LACP)?

Yes it is a Cisco switch configured with a port channel.
