November 11, 20196 yr First few days with Unraid. I like it. A lot. I've installed and reinstalled several times with the same peculiar result though. All my shares are working (though Time Machine via smb has been an issue - I willed it to finally work). But for some reason all my user shares show "-" under every column, which thanks the tooltips (god bless you) tells me that means it is not exported for that particular service. But they are and the permissions are set to a variety of different settings (public, private, secure) and are accessible from clients. smb is configured with AD for auth. Single disk, parity disk (a few hours to sync) and a cache disk setup.
November 12, 20196 yr Author Ah, this appears to be my use of AD auth. Because if I add NFS to the same share it does reflect it on the share page as public/private instead of "-" under the NFS column and still "-" under SMB. That makes sense after reflection (Solaris back in the day). But it inferred that I inferred that to mean it was not available like the system share. But it only means it's not mounted /export in the OG sense and not subject to its own security. Awesome product. Great work.
