Woodpusherghd
I have had 2 unclean shutdowns in the past 24 hours. To trouble shoot, I have enabled "mirror syslog to flash" in my syslog server. Are there any additional steps I should take to track down the suspects causing the shut downs? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Frank1940
Make sure inside of case is clean. Make sure that all fans are running. Make sure that pets and children don't have access to the power switch on server. Unexplained unclean shutdowns are almost always caused by hardware. I would be suspicious of the power supply if the mirrored syslog does not have any clues that point elsewhere. (PS's have been involved in other cases similar to yours.) Quote Link to comment
