[Guide] Using ruTorrent Mobile with docker

Recommended Posts

This is something quick and dirty I did to enable the use of the Mobile UI plugin for ruTorrent with the Linuxserver.io docker:

First:

Download and extract the mobile ui plugin from:
https://github.com/xombiemp/rutorrentMobile

Once downloaded,
Extract the plugin into the appdata config folder for rutorrent, naming it "mobile"

The contents of that folder should look like this:

Once complete, edit your rutorrent docker and add the following path:

Afterwards, when a mobile device connects to the rutorrent WebUI it will be presented with a slick mobile interface that looks like this (image stolen from Google):

Alternatively you can use the transdroid app which gives you you a lot of functionality that the mobile web UI may not

On the contrary I moved to this from Transdroid.

Transdroid doesn't let you specify a download location, and is missing other features for rtorrent clients. A shame, really as when I used it with deluge it was fine. Deluge wasn't able to handle some of my larger downloads so I migrated away from it.

I just ran across this and unzipped it into /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-rtorrentvpn/mobile but im not sure of the container path since this is a different rtorrent than the one mentioned. I put the container path as /app/rutorrent/plugins/mobile, saved new container and reloaded on mobile device but the ui is the same as before. Can anyone verify the container path mentioned is correct for binhex-rtorrentvpn?

This comment is to announce the first pre-release of the ruTorrent Mobile application which empowers you to control your torrents from your mobile phone.

The app has several basic features to control ruTorrent and some other plugin functionalities like RSS, History, Explorer, etc. Additionally, you can also stream or download media files from your seedbox.

Currently, the android version is available, please follow this link to download the app (armeabi-v7a) -https://github.com/CCExtractor/rutorrent-flutter/releases/download/0.1.0/app-armeabi-v7a-release.apk

Also, here is the GitHub repo link for the project - https://github.com/CCExtractor/rutorrent-flutter

Feel free to open an issue if you find any bug and don't forget to star the repo if you find our work useful.

Happy Torrenting :)
