tried a few fixes but nothing seams to work anybody got any ideas 

so i managed to update them individually but still got the errors show above on the mariadb and nextcloud 

forget that it didnt work still cant update any dockers

Post the xml files (/config/plugins/dockerMan/templates-user/my-mariadb.xml  and my-nextcloud.xml) from the flash drive

i have a select of the one i cant update 

my-mariadb.xml my-nextcloud.xml my-pihole.xml my-sickchill.xml

As far as I can tell there's no problem with them.  Installed mariadb and nextcloud and they both edit fine.  What version of unRaid, and can you show the exact errors from mariadb

 

Also, have you copied / pasted text from the forum into those templates?

You sure you posted that right?

 

If so, attach the my-influxdb.xml file.

yes that was from when i tried to update it

just resized something i remove influxdb a couple of months ago 

ok.  Obviously I misunderstood that it was the exact same error on everything

Do you use influxdb?  If not, delete that file as the end of it is trashed.  If you do, replace it with that attached.

 

Also, Turn off the server, pull the flash drive and run the chkdsk on it on a Windows box

removed the influxdb.xml stopped docker restarted seams to have solved the issue

forget that it didnt i will shutdown and test the usb 

so it looks like i have a dodgy usb pen that is fine i will replace but all i can find is sandisk pens and cant get any of them to be recognised by system 

sods law lol

right so i am having major issues now 

i have changed the usb pen and managed to get the system to boot sort off after a lot of mucking around

it starts the and then starts to start the docker and vm start then all of a sudden they both stop

i can get the network to run for a short period then all i have is the screen and keyboard 

any suggestion i know its a bit vague but not sure what to try from here 

 

so i think i might have found one of the problems 

when everything stops if you then browse to the flash drive it is empty 

 

just a idea but does it matter that i am using a 32gb flash drive 

thought i had sorted it last night but same again this morning 

docker wont start

vm start and the fail

another bit of info 

when the flash shows has empty when i reboot the bzroot-gui wont load 

checked the usb and no error 

replace it and the system will boot

so after a bit or mucking around i THINK (cant be sure until i get a new licence) i had two issue 

isues one the new usb was faulty even if it checks out fine if i use it when i reboot the server the usb wont boot

 

issue 2 the back i was using was corrupt i have now gone back to a older one an the server will boot and reboot normally 

 

i wont know for sure until i get a new licence 

hopefully fingers crossed that was the issue 

got the new key system

but i am getting the same errors "docker service failed to start"

vm seems to start ok

but no docker any suggestions

or am i going to have to rebuild my docker system
