mce: Machine Check Events notification

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I received an email overnight indicating that Machine Check Events have been detected on my server.  Some quick research through other forums leads me to believe there may be an issue with some RAM in my server.  I'm not all that familiar with the diagnostics to be able to figure out which stick of RAM may be at fault or even if that's the issue.  I'm running version 6.7.2 currently.  Any insight or advice as to how to track down what the cause it would be greatly appreciated.

Yup.  The event log in the BIOS may have more information

Thanks, it looks like it's the stick in channel 2 slot 1 from the error message.  I'm fortunate enough to have a plethora of RAM available to me for this server, so I'll swap it out and see if that clears the error.
