Hi just a back side I purchased a server off ebay and it came with this card  ServeRAID M5015 SAS/SATA Controller.

It seems the card was set up for a nas set up.  When I power up the server it does not see the usb stick it boots into the

card. Will this card work with unraid??? If so what do I do to make it work. Thanks

Also would this card work with unraid LSI MegaRAID SAS 9266-8i 1GB Cache SATA/SAS Raid Controller w/ Battery Back Up.

I was looking to do another server for sas drives as the price for those drives 4tb is lower than sata drives.

    Unraid IS NOT RAID. Unraid needs the controller to let it access the individual disks.

     

    I don't have experience with those but often you can configure their BIOS or maybe reflash.

     

    Maybe someone else will have more specific information.
