It is a new mobo and it is only the USB 3 ports not working where as the USB 2 ones are. JorgeB Posted December 1, 2019 Share Posted December 1, 2019 Still problems with the USB controller, most VIA devices have been very problematic since I can remember, good news they are not used in any recent PCs, you're probably better off getting an addon (non VIA) UBS controller if you really need to use a USB disk. ccsnet Posted December 15, 2019 Author Share Posted December 15, 2019 So a quick update... after a lot of faffing I have managed to upgrade the bios of my board & even tested using diffrent external disk cases with just the same result. I probably will come back to this one day but for now I will leave the back ups on USB2 as they seem stable enough T Quote Link to comment
